Today I’m celebrating the launch of a new Showit website for Taylor Courtney at Taylor Courtney Photography!
Taylor is a wedding and branding photographer in upstate South Carolina serving the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Taylor’s photography style is light, bright, and beautiful! Taylor is so bubbly and fun—it’s clear why her clients love working with her so much!
Taylor and I worked together on a Showit template customization project for her site. Taylor chose my Garden Rose template from Blossom Site Shop as the starting point to create a website totally her own!
I’ve been doing template customizations for a while, but this was the first time actually customizing one of my own which was SO fun! It’s truly magical to see how folks have made the templates unique to them and their business.
Some of my favorite customizations we made to Taylor’s site:
- Optimized for SEO by setting SEO page titles and meta descriptions, and writing alt text for all images—so Taylor’s ideal clients can find her even faster!
- Incorporated a bold burgundy color palette to complement Taylor’s beautiful photos and makes her brand pop! I also love how her headshots go so well with her color palette.
- Swapped the template’s “workshops” page for a dedicated “branding” page for Taylor to show off her portrait work for fellow creatives—now all her branding session info and galleries can live in one place!
- Added a section to the about page sharing Taylor’s very own love story (she is marrying her sweetheart, Matt, in October 2022!)
