When I met Stephanie of Events With Love, I knew her website was going to be one of my all-time favorites! We had so much fun chatting everything websites and weddings over coffee, already planning how we could bring her vision to life!

Stephanie’s old website was very soft and feminine, which just didn’t fit her style. It was time for an elevated web design that spoke to her unique vision and style and spoke to her ideal clients. We opted for an earthier color palette of copper and grey tones, and a delicate serif header font paired with a bold sans serif to balance it all out. We also worked together to reorganize her site structure so that it was organized and user-friendly.

A few of my favorite details about Stephanie’s new site are:

• The services page that walks clients through the experience of working with Stephanie in a beautiful and engaging way
• A blog design that encourages clients to explore and learn more about wedding tips & inspiration
• Simple details like a delicate hand-brushed heart motif
• Featured galleries that show off the beautiful weddings Stephanie has coordinated

Stephanie shared some of her thoughts about launching her new Showit website:

I played around with a few different options when it came to designing a website for my growing business, but I was having a hard time figuring out how to have a “pretty” website and also a functional website that did all the things I needed it to do. I knew was that I wanted the site to reflect me and the genuine elements of what makes me and my wedding planning business unique. I also knew that I needed to keep this site constantly updated with new and dynamic content pretty regularly. I just didn’t feel like my old website was able to do both of those things.

The best part about working with a designer (more specifically, Alex) is that she takes the time to get to know YOU before discussing how she’s going to design your site. The information-gathering process (via a thoughtful questionnaire) that she does prior to any design is when I knew for sure that my new site really would be custom to Events With Love. She took the time to find out about my ideal client and then discussed how we would get them to pay attention, want to read more about my services, and then reach out. If I were to DIY my website, I know that I would not have been able to achieve even a small portion of that. I would have just been overwhelmed and probably lost in a sea of other DIY websites.

What’s your favorite thing about your new site?

In all honesty, I genuinely love the entire site. Alex just got it. It = my personality, my services, and my vision for the site. It’s all there.

Just kidding. What I’m most excited about is the little grey heart that pops up all over the place.

What was it like moving to Showit from WordPress?

Oh my gosh. I am so thrilled that I will be able to update my content without being terrified of messing up an entire page. Showit is so much more user-friendly than WordPress and I feel a million times more confident in navigating it.
