Today I’m so excited to celebrate the launch of the brand-new Catey Heritage Farm website!

Lauren and I actually go way back…we met and became friends during our teacher prep program 8 years ago! I have always admired Lauren as an educator and as the wonderful person she is. And I was SO happy for her when she and her now-husband Jem decided to move out of the city and back to Lauren’s hometown to start a farm on her family’s land.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Fast forward to now and Lauren and Jem have built the farm of their dreams: they sell their produce and farm-fresh eggs at the local farmer’s market, and Lauren has become a professional floral designer! The farm also serves as a beautiful wedding venue. Lauren and Jem’s wedding was actually the first on the farm and they are celebrating their first anniversary next week!

So…you could say that a WHOLE lotta love was poured into this website. Just like the farm, this site is full of rich colors and textures and family history. Our goal was to create a layered, warm, and welcoming experience for Lauren and Jem’s customers and couples.

Here are just a few of my favorite details on Lauren and Jem’s site:

• The layering of images, graphics, and text! We wanted Lauren and Jem’s site to evoke the feeling of a cozy living room. A comfy couch with layered pillows, family photos hung on the wall, and meaningful details sprinkled throughout.
• The wagon wheel graphic we incorporated throughout the site has some special meaning behind it. Lauren and Jem found an old wagon wheel while restoring the property. They refurbished it as a chandelier and it now serves as a focal point of the wedding venue (and the perfect place to hang Lauren’s beautiful floral designs!)
• The favorites section showcasing some of Lauren and Jem’s local and farm faves. Such a great way to show their personalities while reinforcing their commitment to serving their local community!
